Janell Loving
Ever wonder what makes the perfect
wedding? The answer there isn't one specific thing it is all
of the work, careful thought, sweat and sometimes, tears that go into
the planning and preparation. This year many of the best wedding
trends lend themselves to very simple personal touches, taking an
okay idea and creating the perfect wedding experience for that
special day.
Below are just a few of the fabulous
ideas that have been showing up across the country this year to
create perfect wedding bliss.
Save the Date Invitations
It's all about the couple's attitude.
Super creative, and personalized to the max: printed on fabric,
styled like movie posters, mimicking vintage postcards - the sky is
the limit with this latest trend, allowing for complete expression of
excitement and spirit of the couple to be. These little gems are my
favorite of the current wedding trends.
Wedding Websites
Wedding websites are the ultimate in
wedding trends. They provide the opportunity to share every detail of
that special day in one central location. Most wedding websites have
detailed event pages for all of the wedding activities including
where they are, what time, and who must attend. As well as a place
where the bride & groom can suggest good restaurants, kid
friendly activities, spas or other things for their out of town
wedding guests. Amazing for information dissemination and
organization of all those wedding details.
Guest Participation
Allowing guests to pick the cake topper
helps with one of the many wedding details, and creates a way for
everyone to be involved. The excitement of seeing which option won,
as well as providing a common element of conversation for those
attending the wedding make this one of the year's most jovial trends.
Hors D'oeuvres
Mini & mobile are great descriptors
for the food at wedding receptions this year. Inspired by street
food, many wedding planners are incorporating a hip urban vibe into
the wedding reception. The food is small and easy creating the
perfect appetizers for the pre-dinner mingling bite-size fish
tacos, baby lobster rolls and mini california rolls are just a few of
the big ideas. What a fun way to do something different and set the
tone for mingling.
Groom's Cake
It's his special day as well, and this
year the Groom's cake is back in vogue. The Groom's cake adds a touch
of his individual style, as well as displaying the compromise of
bringing personal styles together.
Venues
This year, anywhere
but inside is the perfect place for the magical day.
Popular outdoor
venues include romantic rooftops, poolside decks and rolling fields
or meadows.
Cheers to all the
summer wedding parties. May each wedding be the perfect event of this
season.
